About Great Lakes Organizing

I’m Katie, the owner of Great Lakes Organizing (GLO), organizer extraordinaire, and your judgment-free partner in making everyday life a little easier. Based in Howell, Michigan, I offer home organizing and decluttering, senior downsizing and transition support, classroom organization for teachers, home-occupied staging, and ongoing GLO Maintenance to help keep your systems working. From kitchens and pantries to closets, bathrooms, bedrooms, and garages, I help you decide what to keep, make better use of your space, and find logical homes for the things you use and love. Finding the scissors shouldn’t require a household investigation. As a veteran elementary teacher and experienced private caregiver, I bring patience, thoughtful listening, practical ideas, and a sense of humor. I’ll listen to what’s frustrating you, what’s working, and what would make your day easier—then roll up my sleeves and get started. Whether you’d like to work alongside me or have me take the lead, I’m here to help. I proudly serve Howell, Fowlerville, Brighton, Hartland, Highland, Milford, South Lyon, Ann Arbor, and surrounding communities throughout Livingston, Oakland, and Washtenaw Counties. Let’s chat about your space and how I can help! Your first step is a free 15–20 minute phone consultation. You don’t have to know where to begin—that’s what I’m here for.
